Release note: what’s new in V7.3.2

Our newest Stellar release brings enhanced dubbing workflows, improved multi-user collaboration, and smarter automation to streamline media localization production.

This update introduces several improvements, particularly for dubbing workflows, multi-user collaboration, and automation.

Smarter voice casting for dubbing

You can now assign the best voice option per role in your dubbing projects. New capabilities include:

  • Cast human voice actors, synthetic voices, or voice morphing to specific roles
  • Create projects with any mix of voice actors and AI voices
  • Choose the most appropriate voice solution per role based on quality, speed, or budget

Multi-user recording

Recording sessions are now easier to manage when multiple users are involved. New workflow improvements:

  • Automatic final mix creation from multiple script recordings
  • Automatic splitting of dubbing scripts per role
  • Parallel recording and voice rendering (synthetic voices) by multiple voice talents in the same dubbing task
  • Parallel synthetic voice rendering

These improvements help teams record faster and reduce manual coordination.

Simpler recording experience

The recording workflow has been streamlined for both operators and voice talent. Updates include:

  • A simpler recording session interface
  • Simplified recording interface for voice actors
  • Easier interface for voice morphing
  • Improved interface for working with synthetic voices after casting

Edit scripts directly on the timeline

For layouts without text columns, script text can now be edited directly in the timeline view, allowing faster adjustments during recording or review.

New high-efficiency audio format

The release adds support for Opus-128 audio format, enabling:

  • More efficient cloud collaboration
  • Up to 90% reduction in storage usage
  • Much faster file transfers

Stellar Automate improvements

Lexicon support for ASR

You can now define custom word lexicons to improve speech recognition accuracy. This is particularly useful for e.g. proper names, brand names, unusual terminology. Multiple lexicons can be referenced when running ASR processes.

Workflow-specific layouts

You can now define different layouts for each workflow step, for example:

  • A QC layout for quality control
  • A recording layout for dubbing sessions

This ensures each step provides the most suitable interface, reducing errors and improving efficiency.
