Matt Deakin
Managing Director
Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computing from King’s College London. Throughout his career, he has directed a range of technology companies, developing solutions such as computerized lighting desks for live shows, broadcast routers, and advertisement insertion systems. He later led Screen Subtitling Systems Ltd as Managing Director, advancing broadcast subtitling technologies. Matt now serves as Co-Founder and Managing Director of Yella Umbrella, where he continues to drive innovation in media localization and accessibility solutions.

Technical Director
Simon holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cambridge and has built a career in broadcast engineering since 1989. His experience includes work in military sonar systems, software development, and later serving as Chief Technical Officer at Screen Subtitling Systems Ltd. As Co-Founder and CTO of Yella Umbrella, Simon brings deep technical expertise and decades of industry experience to the development of innovative subtitling, audio description, voice-over and dubbing solutions.
